KATIE HOMES TRANSFORMS INTO SOMEONE ELSE..

KATIE Holmes is like a “different person” when she’s away from husband Tom Cruise – insiders say.

The actress is currently filming upcoming miniseries The Kennedys in Cobourg, Canada, while Cruise travels the world promoting his new movie Knight and Day.

“Katie’s like a different person when she’s not around Tom,” alleged one insider. “She always seems a lot happier when she’s on her own — like she’s got her wings back!”

Reports last year claimed Katie “refuses” to accept Tom’s “controlling” ways.

“Katie can’t handle Tom being so controlling and she just won’t accept it,” a source told Britain’s Now magazine. “Their relationship has moved on from the early days when she would bow to his every move.

A spokeswoman for Jennifer Capriati says the former top-ranked tennis player is recovering from an "accidental overdose" of prescribed medication.

Lacey Wickline told The Associated Press on Monday that the 34-year-old Capriati is stable and a full recovery is expected. She declined to identify the medication.

The spokeswoman says Capriati was rushed to a South Florida hospital early Sunday morning. Wickline would not say how Capriati was found or who called emergency services.

Capriati won three majors in a career that was sidetracked by personal troubles.

Celebrity website TMZ first reported that Capriati was hospitalized.

Thought you've seen it all when it comes to all things Lady Gaga?

Guess again. The pop sensation bares her body and her brain in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, on newsstands Wednesday. Clad in a black thong, strappy bra, and out-of-this-world, hot pink platform shoes, Gaga brandishes two guns as big as her current profile in pop culture.

She opens up about her family, her ex-boyfriend and her psyche in an interview with the magazine. Below, five of Gaga's most quotable revelations from the new issue of Rolling Stone:

On slaying her self-doubt: "When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, 'B***h, you're Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.' "

Marisa Tomei is Just Not Herself in 'Cyrus'

Marisa Tomei is torn between two men. On film, that is.

In "Cyrus," out Friday, she has fallen for John (John C. Reilly), the schlubby editor she meets. Standing in the way of love is Cyrus, her twentysomething son, a clingy, possessive and downright weird homebody played by Jonah Hill. And in the middle is Tomei's Molly, an openhearted, loving woman.

The movie is "about a moment where everyone needs to grow," says Tomei, 45. "Each one has so much love (that) it needed to expand. We really enjoy each other, and it's reached a point where it needs to be shared."

She wanted to play Molly because of how little she had in common with the single mom with puffy hair. "She's just seeing the good and not seeing some of the reality," Tomei says. "She's different than I am. She's a lot more patient than I am."

And that's exactly why Mark and Jay Duplass, who co-directed the film, cast the Oscar winner. They needed an actress who could hold her own, and someone who oozed warmth and acceptance without being a pushover.

"Marisa and Molly couldn't be more different in terms of life situations. (Marisa) doesn't have a bizarre son, and she's not a single mom. The one thing that was surprising was how natural her mothering instincts were in this role," says Mark Duplass. "I did not know how capable she was of showing that uber-sensitivity and uber-patience as the mother of a really complex child."

Despite the challenging role, Tomei did get a kick out of her versatile tresses in the film.

"How about the hairdo?" she asks. "That's my hair. My hair is more wavy, so it curls really easily. So we let it be really curly."

Hairy scenes aside, Tomei had no qualms about having an adult son on screen, Mark Duplass says. "There's not a lot of women who are her age who are interested in playing the mother of a 20-year-old son. She's fearless about that stuff. She wants to play a real role."

In real life, Tomei and her boyfriend, actor Logan Marshall-Green, 33, of the TNT drama Dark Blue, live in Los Angeles, where she has an apartment. She also has a place in Manhattan.

"He's so sweet. I feel that I've been lucky in love, but it's also the combination of things he has," Tomei says.

After winning an Oscar for playing Mona Lisa Vito in 1992's My Cousin Vinny, Tomei is returning to comedy. She has wrapped one with Steve Carell and another with Greg Kinnear. Next, she shoots the drama The Lincoln Lawyer opposite Matthew McConaughey. And in January, the New York native hopes to return to Manhattan to do theater. Does she miss the city?

Jolie Set To Star As Cleopatra?

ANGELINA JOLIE is reportedly set to play Cleopatra in a new movie she is developing about the legendary Egyptian queen.

The Tomb Raider star is set to follow in the footsteps of Dame Elizabeth Taylor by playing the ancient beauty in a new film based on author Stacy Schiff's biography Cleopatra: A Life.

Producer Scott Rudin has confirmed that the project is "being developed for and with Jolie", according to USA Today.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is also in talks to play the Egyptian ruler in a 3D musical to be directed by Steven Soderbergh, with Hugh Jackman as Cleopatra's lover Marc Antony.

Following Lady Gaga's super-sized "Telephone" video in March, the enigmatic pop star has debuted an eight-minute clip for "Alejandro" that pairs provocative military and religious imagery.

Jail, poison, Beyonce: Lady Gaga debuts her latest brainchild

Male dancers in various states of dress (sometimes full uniform, sometimes just fishnets and skivvies) accompany the diva, who simulates sex with them in a snowy underworld that's part Evita, part Dr. Zhivago. The dreary video is an odd visual match for the song itself, which uncannily recalls the peppy, tropical vibe of Madonna's "La Isla Bonita."

The tune is not the only "homage" to the Material Girl. In one dance sequence, Gaga wears a black pantsuit that recalls Madonna's "Express Yourself" get-up. Gaga puts a finer point on Madonna's cone bra by attaching guns to her black leather version. Throw in a few close-ups of rosary beads and Gaga in a red-and white nun's habit, which, well, come on, we've see all that somewhere before.

"It's true," executive producer Brad Falchuk just confirmed to me exclusively: John Stamos will definitely be coming on for Glee's second season! "Not sure how many episodes yet," he says.

Somewhere, Jayma Mays is crying with happy delirium. And I imagine, some of you fellow fans.

Here are more details on this awesome casting...

In what can only be described as an obvious ploy by my former future husband to recapture my attention, John Stamos is, as EW reported, joining Glee.

So why am I gonna have to put the smackdown on Jayma Mays?

In tonight's episode (which I was on set for—playing a zombie!) we'll learn that Jayma's character, Emma, is "dating" her dentist. And that dentist will indeed be one Mr. John Stamos, who will appear in season two in a recurring role.

The irony here? You may remember that Emma has already talked about John Stamos. In the September 18 episode "Acafellas," Jayma's character said this line: "They say it takes certainty more than talent to make a star. I mean, look at John Stamos."

Hilarious, right?! And further proof that John--and the producers--have a great sense of humor. I'm told the idea to get him on the show started with that very line.

And so it seems the "certain" star will get a chance to prove himself. And if you're thinking Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) will put the beatdown on John should they have a sing-off, well, think again! As you may remember from his Full House days, various live performances with The Beach Boys and Broadway appearances in shows like Bye Bye Birdie, the dude can sing.

Bottom line: Watch your back, Mr. Schue. 'Cause chances are Stamos' character also has a thing for personal hygiene, and we all know that is a straight arrow right through Emma's heart.

________

You heard about the zombies coming to Glee right? I hit the set for scoop from executive producer Brad Falchuk on tonight's big finale.
